ATLANTA -- Arthur Blank donned traditional soccer garb to mark his newest venture -- an MLS team for Atlanta. Jahleel Addae Jersey . "I love this one," Blank said, looking down at the red, black and gold scarf draped over his dark suit. "I havent taken it off since it was given to me. I may not sleep in it tonight, but I may. I havent decided yet." Major League Soccer announced its latest team Wednesday, an expansion team for Atlanta that will begin play in 2017 at the citys new retractable roof stadium. The team will be owned by Blank, who also controls the NFLs Atlanta Falcons. He said it was the culmination of a process that started about a decade ago, when he first started talks with MLS about bringing a team to the city. The off-and-on discussions picked up again after Blank reached a deal with the city last year to build a new $1 billion downtown stadium next to the soon-to-be-demolished Georgia Dome. He is putting up most of the money, with the city kicking in $200 million from a hotel tax. "I think Atlanta is a natural fit for Major League Soccer," said Blank, who was serenaded by a burgeoning fan group that calls itself "Terminus Legion," a reference to the citys former name. The teams name has not been determined. Blank said he will get input from the fans before deciding on the new moniker, though he already knows the colours: red and black -- matching the Falcons -- with a substantial amount of gold as well. "What the name will be, we really dont know," he said. "We will spend a lot of time listening to our fans and trying to understand why some names are more important than others, why certain designs are more important than others, why certain logos are more important than others." One name that wont be considered: Atlanta Chiefs, the name of two previous teams that played in the old North American Soccer League. While the Chiefs won the first NASL championship in 1968, both versions struggled financially and eventually folded. MLS Commissioner Don Garber said there was no hesitation about putting a team in Atlanta once Blank worked out a stadium deal. It is the ninth-largest metropolitan area in the U.S. and the biggest without a top-level soccer team. The city has a large Hispanic population and last month drew more than 68,000 fans to the Georgia Dome for a friendly between Mexico and Nigeria. "This is something that will help elevate our league," Garber said. "It will also elevate our sport in the entire Southeast, which is something that is very important to us strategically." The league went all out to tout its newest team. Hundreds of fans turned out for a street festival before Blank and Garber arrived by helicopter for the introductory news conference, touching down on the roof of a downtown hotel overlooked Centennial Olympic Park. Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed also attended. While the new stadium is primarily designed for the Falcons, Blank stressed that it will be soccer-friendly. The stands along the sideline will have the capability to retract, accommodating the larger soccer pitch while maintaining sightlines. Curtains will descend from the roof automatically to close off the upper sections, creating the sort of intimate atmosphere that works better for less-attended MLS games. The new facility is designed to seat about 71,000 for NFL games, Blank said, but can be reduced to about 29,000 for soccer using only the lower bowl. "There will never be an MLS game in Atlanta where NFL lines are shown on the field," Blank said, drawing a big cheer. MLS, which has 19 teams this season, is expanding rapidly with a goal of having 24 teams by the end of the decade. Orlando and New York City are scheduled to begin play next season, and the league has awarded a provisional team in Miami to a group led by David Beckham, contingent on a soccer-specific stadium being built. The league has added five teams in the past five years, including the hugely successful Seattle Sounders. Garber said there is no worry about growing too fast given the abundance of soccer talent around the world. "When we expand, we can pick from players around the world," Garber said. "We could change the roster rules, the international player limits, and have no dilution in talent." Blank said he will try to encourage some crossover between Falcons season-ticket holders and those interested in attending MLS games. But he acknowledged the teams are likely to have very different fan bases, making it clear the new soccer team will not merely be a side business for the Falcons. His first priority is to hire a team president for the MLS venture. He will also be exploring possible locations for a state-of-the-art training facility. "We dont want any stepchildren in our family," Blank said. "We want to make sure the people running soccer get up in the morning thinking about soccer and go to bed thinking about soccer." Max Tuerk Jersey .Y. -- Phil Jackson lost out on his preferred coach, but hes working hard on keeping his star player. Hayes Pullard Jersey .com) - Devon Johnson ran for a school record 272 yards with four touchdowns and No.OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The Baltimore Ravens and wide receiver Jacoby Jones have agreed on a four-year contract Wednesday. Finanicial terms of the deal were not immediately known. Jones drew interest from other teams as a free agent and met with the New York Giants Wednesday.. Philip Rivers Jersey. . The 29-year old Jones was selected to the Pro Bowl as a return man in 2012 and started 12 games for Baltimore at wide receiver in 2013. ST. Andre Holmes Jersey . LOUIS - Vladimir Sobotka needed just a couple shifts to return to top form Thursday night. Back after missed the previous 12 games because of a left knee injury, Sobotka had a goal and two assists to help the NHL-leading St. Louis Blues beat the Edmonton Oilers 6-2 on Thursday night. "I just kept it simple," Sobotka said after the fifth three-point game of his career. "It was about timing. As the game went along, I got a little faster and a little stronger." St. Louis has won six of seven overall and eight of nine against Edmonton. Alex Pietrangelo started a four-goal third period and Jaden Schwartz added two goals for the Blues, who outscored Edmonton 17-4 in sweeping the three-game season series. Pietrangelo, Schwartz and T.J. Oshie scored in 7:14 span at the outset of the third period to break a 2-2 tie, and Schwartz added his second goal of the period at 12:56. Ryan Miller made 23 saves to improve to 5-0-1 since joining the Blues in a trade with Buffalo on Feb. 28. Hes 7-0 against Edmonton. Sobotka scored late in the first period and then set up the winning goal 42 seconds into the third period. He stole the puck from Andrew Ference in the corner and found Pietrangelo wide open in the slot for a 3-2 lead. "We knew he was going to bring some energy and some bite back into our lineup," Pietrangelo said. "Whether he felt his best or not, it certainly looked like he didnt miss a beat. We kind of needed a little extra jump and he seems to have brought it." Pietrangelo felt he had to capitalize on Sobotkas hard work in the corner "It was a great pass, Id better bury it," Pietrangelo said. Vladimir Tarasenko also scored for St. Louis, and Oshie added two assists. Miller has stopped 134 of 145 shots in six games with St. Louis and has yet to lose in regulation. He has a 1.82 goals-against-average and .924 save percentage with the Blues. David Perron and Mark Fraser scored for Edmonton. Perron spent six seasons in St. Louis and leads the Oilers with 25 goals. Edmonton tied it at 2 late in the second period on Frasers shot from close range. The Blues then took over with a near-perfect third period. "We played with tempo and we played with speed in the neutral zone," St. Louis coach Ken Hitchcock said. "We were really effective. We put a lot of pressure on people." St. Louis outshot Edmonton 14-11 over the final 20 minutes, peppering goalie Ben Scrivens from start to finish. "They capitalized on their scoring chances," Scrivens said. "But I needed to make more saves than I did." The Oilers appeared to have gained the momentum with Frasers tying goal. "I dont care how good they are, we were able to play with them for two periods," Edmonton coach Dallas Eakins said. "We certainly should be able to do it for another 20 more minutes." Notes: St. Louis D Barret Jackman left the game briefly late in the second period after colliding with Jesse Joensuu. Jackman returned for the third period. ...The Oilers have used six goalies this season. ... Ten of the Blues last 13 games have been decided by one goal. ... Edmonton C Sam Gagner had a five-game points streak snapped. ... The Oilers are 7-2-3 in their last 12 games, their best stretch since going 8-3 at the start of the 2011-12 season. ... Oshies two assists give him a career-high 36 this season. Cordy Glenn Jersey .C. -- Wake Forest coach Jim Grobe is resigning after 13 seasons at the school. LeSean McCoy Jersey . Charlottetown scored four times in the third period en route to a 5-2 win over the defending champion Halifax Mooseheads on Friday.TORONTO -- Losers of 10 of their past 14 games, including a 14-1 rout Monday, the Toronto Blue Jays made some changes to their roster that included calling up top pitching prospect Aaron Sanchez. Sanchez and right-handed pitcher Esmil Rogers had their contracts selected from triple A-Buffalo and shortstop Ryan Goins was recalled from the Bisons. To make room, left-handed reliever Brad Mills was designated for assignment and catcher Erik Kratz and outfielder Darin Mastroianni were optioned to the minors. "You hope (to get a spark)," manager John Gibbons said. "That wasnt the purpose of it, but we could use a little bit of that, so well see. Itd bring a lot more excitement if we could get results on the field." The 22-year-old Sanchezs addition is the most intriguing, even as Gibbons said hell be used exclusively out of the bullpen. Sanchez was a first round pick of the Blue Jays in 2010 and is considered one of the top 50 prospects in baseball. "Hes got an overpowering, live fastball," Gibbons said. "He gets a lot of ground balls. Hes got a nice curveball. When hes on, hes a tough at-bat." Sanchez is a starter, but with 100 minor league innings under his belt already this season, the Blue Jays want to limit him to about 130. "We plan on using him," Gibbons said. "Were not going to baby him but well keep an eye on him." Sanchez said his first call upon learning he was going to the majors was made wearing just a towel in the visiting clubhouse Monday night in Allentown, Pa. Dion Dawkins Jersey. , where the Bisons were playing the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. The Bristow, Calif., native then rode up to Toronto on Tuesday. "This has been an unbelievable 24 hours for me," he said. It has been a forgettable 24 hours for the Blue Jays after getting smacked by the Boston Red Sox in the series opener at Rogers Centre. Mills, who gave up eight earned runs -- including two home runs to David Ortiz -- was the first victim and got designated for assignment because Toronto needed someone who could eat up innings Tuesday and beyond. Thatll be Rogerss job for now. "After last night, if something happens early in this game or it went extra innings we had no length out of anybody out there," Gibbons said. "(Rogers had) been pitching much better down there, too." Goins will "play a lot" at second base, according to Gibbons, who wouldnt go so far as to say he was the de facto starter there. With Brett Lawrie still injured, Munenori Kawasaki could see more time at third base, with Juan Fransisco shifting to first. Kratz was sent down, Gibbons said, because the Blue Jays dont need a right-handed-hitting catcher this week. They still have switch-hitting Dioner Navarro and lefty Josh Thole on the roster. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Last week in the CFL the penalty flags were flying. Pierre Turgeon Jersey . In total between the four games played there were 110 penalties for 958 yards, which is the third-highest total in the last 20 years. Obviously, that is way too many penalties. It disrupts the flow of the game, extends the length of the game, and is flat out hard to watch. However, it is one thing to simply complain about the flag-filled week. Its another to examine the calls, look at the reasons why they were made, and work towards finding solutions so it doesnt happen again. In conjunction with the leagues head coaches, that is exactly what Glen Johnson, the leagues Vice-President of Officiating, is currently working on. It is a process that will take some time for a couple reasons, the most important being that we are all learning a new culture in football where player safety is the focus. However, all the league stake holders are all in to work towards limiting the amount of penalties called, and the time it takes to call them. Johnson has accumulated the numbers from last week and some from the first three weeks of the season, and they may surprise football fans. First, all of the penalties from last week have been reviewed and, of the 110 called, 93 of them were the correct call while only seven of them were debatable or questionable calls. Essentially, 94 per cent of the calls made last week were correct which according to Johnson is, "very close to the overall standards from the last few years." These numbers are significant, because it is important to understand that fixing the problem of too many penalties does not just fall on the shoulders of the officials. The players and coaches are ultimately responsible, and are working with Johnson on a weekly basis to improve the situation. Johnson explained by pointing out that there are currently teams that have asked the league to make officials available for practices. "I talk to the coaches and we are working together to improve the situation on a weekly basis, in fact some teams have asked that we supply them refs at practice, which I think is an excellent idea, and can help the teams and our officials." After three weeks this season penalties are up by 31 per cent overall, which is a huge jump. However, when you dig a little deeper into the numbers, we shouldnt be surprised. Of the 31 per cent increase this year, "player safety fouls," are leading the way. Penalties like unnecessary roughness, roughing the passer, face masking, and sportsmanship-related fouls like taunting are driving the increase. When you consider what is happening in North America when it comes to player safety in contact sports, we shouldnt be surprised that calls that are designed to protect the players, sometimes from themselves, are up dramatically. It is going to take time for players to understand what is a legal hit, and what is not, when they have trained their whole lives to hit a certain way, especially when we are talking about the hits on the quarterbacks. So before we start chanting, "ref you suck," from the stands, remember that the Players Association have negotiated player safety items into their new collective bargaining agreements and have made it a priority. It is the players who must change their behaviour, and better understand what is - and isnt - a legal hit, and play with more discipline. They voted it into their own agreements. For now, if the officials err, they will err on the side of protecting the players because that has been mandated by the league and the CFLPA. Penalty-filled games make for long football games, and fans should know that the league is very aware of games extending too long and are working on improving that area as well. One concern is with regards to video review, and whether or not it is taking too long. No, this has nothing to do with the new rule to make pass interference a reviewable penalty - more on that in a minute. This is about being more efficient with the review process. Glen Johnson is even looking at possibly changing the mechanics to speed things up. "One thing that I am looking at is to possibly drop the part of the process where the official explains to the Referee what he saw which then gets relayed to the replay official." He went on to say, "that information is rarely helpful as the play is getting reviewed, we could save about 20 seconds per review." Twenty seconds would be significant when you consider that currently the average review is taking two minutes and 15 seconds. This however, according to Johnson, is skewed because of a few really long reviews this year that took five minutes. He said that reviews generally take about one minute and 30 seconds, which is close to the target. "The objective is to get them under two minutes and five minutes is not acceptable!" It should also be noted that according to data from south of the border, NFL reviews on average take about three minutes, so shaving over a minute off that time will add up quickly. Johnson has reminded his refs that when replay was first introduced to the game there was a 90-second limit placed on the referee, and that decision didnt come from a replay office - it was made from under the hood at the park. Now on the new rule involving the review of pass interference. After three weeks there have been five challenges of pass interference, and all five were on plays where there was no flag thrown. In other words coaches challenged that the call was missed. On two of those challenges the play was reviewed and it was determined by the command center that there was PI on the play and the no call on the field was overturned. It is a small sample size but Johnson, and the majority of the coaches in the league, feel the new rule change is, "going well," so far. As for the timing of this particular challenge on average it takes about 20 seconds longer than other challengeable plays. So if it takes about one minute and 30 seconds for most challenges, then a PI call would take one minute and 50 seconds which is still under the target of two minutes. By the way both overturned PI challenges occurred in the end zone which is the area on the field that changes the outcome of games, and the calls ended up being correct. The purpose of this change was not to make PI more difficult, but to assist the officials who may have missed something blatant during live action, and in that regard the league and the coaches believe it is working so far. When you break it all down, there is a fairly simple explanation as to why player safety type penalties are up, and that should correct itself over time. It is also important to understand that 94 per cent of the penalties called in the game are the correct call, so it is the coaches and players responsibility to make the necessary corrections. And finally, all the stakeholders in the game are very aware that last week there were way too many penalties and are working together to make changes to make sure 110 flags in four games doesnt happen again. Now lets get back to talking about football. Pat Lafontaine Jersey . Cabrera-Bello shot a 1-over-par 73 and was caught by Webster, who carded 70 at Doha Golf Club for three-round totals of 12-under 204. They were only one stroke ahead of Adrien Saddier of France, the biggest mover with six birdies in his opening seven holes in a round of 64, South African Thomas Aiken (70) and Denmarks Thorbjorn Olesen (68) on a packed leaderboard. Dmitry Kulikov Jersey . Altidore strained his left hamstring in the Americans opener against Ghana on June 16 and didnt play in their next two games. "We dont know how much because we need to see how hes going, but hes available," U.The plan for some Toronto Blue Jays players to defer their salaries in order to sign free agent pitcher Ervin Santana was beyond the planning stages. First reporting on the proposal on Thursday, FOX Sports Ken Rosenthal now indicates that the wheels were in motion to a greater extent than previously thought and that the MLBPA had already signed off on the plan. "Everyone had signed off," a source told Rosenthal of the plan. "It was already done." In the past the MLBPA has been reticent to allow its players to forego a contractual benefit, which includes deferral of salary, without commensurate return. It remains unclear where the impetus for the proposal came frrom, but its likely that the players would not have conceived of such an idea had they not been led to believe that the team could not afford or were not interested in Santana. Tyler Ennis Jersey. According to the Associated Press, the Blue Jays $132.6 million salary for 2014 is the 10th-highest in the MLB, but its unknown if the team is willing to take on more salary if the need were to arise. The 31-year-old Santana eventually turned down a one-year, $14 million offer from the Jays to accept the same deal from the Atlanta Braves, who were looking to shore up their rotation following the loss of Kris Medlen to Tommy John surgery. He is scheduled to make his first start for the Braves on Wednesday night. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys ChinaCheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

JOLIET, Ill. Nevin Lawson Jersey . -- Kyle Busch won his 34th career Truck Series race Friday night, beating Brad Keselowski at Chicagoland Speedway before running out of gas on his way to Victory Lane. It was Buschs fourth series win of the season and 17th overall spanning all three of NASCARs national series. Busch and Keselowski ran side-by-side for a large portion of the race, trading the lead several times as they combined to lead 102 of the 150 laps. "Finally got by him and he was still with me, and I started stretching him and thought I could breathe again," Busch said. "Then two laps later, he was on my butt again." Busch was startled on his celebratory burnout when he leaned out the window while mimicking a boxer -- an attempt to show hed outdueled someone -- and his truck ran out of fuel. It looked as if it nearly caused Busch to fall out the window. Busch, who will try for the weekend sweep at Chicago by winning the Nationwide race on Saturday and the Sprint Cup race on Sunday, laughed it off later. "Always try to do something. Keep it fresh. Im running out of ideas," he said. Keselowski had to settle for his second runner-up finish of the season and fifth of his career. Keselowski is still searching for his first career Truck Series victory. "Running this race, side-by-side, every restart, some pack racing, thats just something that I think is exceptional to watch," Keselowski said. "But from my place is exceptional to do. A little disappointed we didnt get the win, but I know we were close. I know how far our team and company has come." Ryan Blaney finished third driving for Keselowski. Series leader Matt Crafton, who now leads James Buescher by 47 points in the standings, was fourth after grabbing his 16th top-10 in 16 races. Buescher was eighth. Ty Dillon finished fifth, John Wes Townley was sixth and Austin Dillon seventh. Jeb Burton and Johnny Sauter completed the top 10. Theo Riddick Jersey .Balotelli uploaded on Instagram a picture of the video-game character Super Mario, with whom the Italy international shares a nickname, with text around the image including jumps like a black man and grabs coins like a Jew. Eric Ebron Jersey . His actions are much louder on the Fenway Park mound. De La Rosa had another strong home start, going seven solid innings to lift the Boston Red Sox to a 2-1 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Saturday night.BALTIMORE - The Cleveland Browns put forth quite an effort against a team headed to the playoffs. The last thing coach Mike Pettine wanted to talk about was a bunch of guys who didnt suit up.So, after Sundays 20-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Pettine deflected all questions about the suspension of wide receiver Josh Gordon; the antics of injured rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel; and a report that cornerback Justin Gilbert was on the inactive list because he was late for a team meeting.Im not going to address those guys, Pettine said. I know 90 per cent of the questions are going to be about that. To me, its disrespectful to the guys who put the uniforms on today and played their hearts out for the Cleveland Browns. We have guys we should be celebrating. ... There were guys who didnt need to be out there and play, who could have shut it down and didnt.Browns owner Jimmy Haslam said that Pettine and general manager Ray Farmer absolutely will return next season. The Browns came in with four straight losses and were starting a quarterback making his NFL debut. They had lost 12 of their previous 13 games against the Ravens, too, but it was hard to tell by the way Cleveland took it to Baltimore for three quarters. It took a 17-point fourth quarter for the Ravens to rally to a victory that got them in the playoffs for the sixth time in seven years. That, and San Diegos loss to Kansas City.Certainly a disappointing way to finish, Pettine said. We had our chances. I thought we executed our plan well for three quarters and just couldnt finish. In a lot of ways, it was a microcosm of our season. With quarterbacks Brian Hoyer and Johnny Manziel out with injuries, Shaw went 14 for 28 for 177 yards. He lost a fumble, threw an interception and was sacked four times. But his teammates appreciated the effort from a player who spent much of the season on the Cleveland practice squad.Hes taken more reps at safety this season than he has in our offence, Cleveland defensive back Jim Leonhard said. It wasnt too big (a task) for him. He came out against a team that needed a win to get into the playoffs and was calm, collected.Said Shaw: I knew being a rrookie quarterback (making his) first start they were going to bring some heat. Ziggy Ansah Jersey. I thought for the most part we handled it well. The Ravens trailed 10-3 in the fourth quarter. A field goal narrowed the gap, and Baltimore took the lead on a 16-yard touchdown pass from Joe Flacco to Torrey Smith with 7:33 left.Flaccos 2-yard TD throw to Kamar Aiken with 3:44 remaining clinched it.Today it was struggle, struggle, struggle, said Flacco, who went 8 for 9 for 161 yards and two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. He finished 22 for 36 for 312 yards, and the two TD passes gave him a career-high 27 for the season. And now?Anything can happen when you get into the playoffs, he said. I wont be surprised if in three weeks from now were still sitting here playing. For three quarters, the Ravens stumbled offensively — just as they did one week earlier in a 25-13 loss in Houston. As the game wore on, the home fans showed their dissatisfaction by booing before yet another Baltimore punt. These guys want to be sitting on the couch, having parties and cheering for us in a week, Flacco said.Justin Forsett had 119 yards rushing for the Ravens, who will open on the road next weekend. The Browns took a 10-3 lead in the third quarter when Shaw went 3 for 3 during an 80-yard drive. Shaw scrambled in the pocket before connecting on a 49-yard completion to rookie Taylor Gabriel, who started in place of Gordon. That was followed by a 2-yard touchdown run by Terrance West.Baltimore closed to 10-6 with 10:37 left when Justin Tucker kicked a 28-yard field goal after a 39-yard completion from Flacco to tight end Owen Daniels.Cleveland followed with three straight runs and a punt, giving the Ravens the ball again with 8:23 to go.Flacco completed a 53-yarder to Smith before hitting the wide receiver on the next play for the go-ahead score.West ran for 94 yards and Shaw went 14 for 28 for 177 yards.Notes: Baltimore played without left tackle Eugene Monroe (ankle). ... MALABO, Equatorial Guinea - Yaya Toure and his heavily favoured Ivory Coast teammates struggled to a 1-1 draw against Guinea on Tuesday in their opening match at the African Cup of Nations. Lyle Alzado Jersey .Although Toure and Wilfried Bony set up the equalizer for substitute Seydou Doumbia, the Ivorians lost Gervinho to a red card in the second half, possible ruling him out for the rest of the group stage.Gervinho had been Ivory Coasts best player, or at least the one with the best chances, until a scuffle with Baissama Sankoh during an off-the-ball incident earned him a straight red in the 57th minute. With 10 men it was very hard, said Ivory Coast coach Herve Renard, who led Zambia to the African Cup title in 2012. I think the players did very well in the different organization (after the sending off).Doumbia, who came on in the 66th minute as the tactics changed, scored from close range after a pass from Bony. Toure was the one who started the move.We bounced back. Its a good point for us, Toure said.Guinea had taken the lead in the 36th minute when Ibrahima Traore crossed to Mohamed Yattara, who slipped the ball into the net. Traore then had a chance to double the lead in the 61st but his shot hit the crossbar. Were not happy, because we know we could win this game, Traore said. Were going to keep working hard. At the end we will win and we will qualify, because as I said we are not afraid of anyone.Cameroon and Mali are also in Group D but have yet to play. Both teams had other opportunities to score, with Gervinho and Bony having back-to-back chances stopped early in the first half, but it was Guinea that got the first goal.At this time its a feeling of frustration because we were leading in the game, Guinea coach Michel Dussuyer said. We were controlling the game. Its a feeling of frustration, but now its a good result. Derek Carr Jersey . The Big Man finished 3-1 in Week 19, and sits at 53-24 on the season. Bingham overcame Murphy 18-15 to become world champion last May, but it was Murphy who held his nerve this time to win 10-9. Murphy had looked in total command after taking a 4-1 lead but, in a scrappy contest, Bingham hit back with four frames in a row to take a 5-4 advantage at the break. In the evening session Murphy took control to go 8-7 up, but Bingham cleared the ccolours in a lengthy next frame to level matters. Sebastian Janikowski Jersey. They get paid a lot more, too.Schultz chipped in with a rare goal, and Wayne Simmonds, Chris VandeVelde, Brayden Schenn also scored, leading the Philadelphia Flyers to a 5-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night.Sean Couturier added an empty-netter as Philadelphia won for the fourth time in five games while trying to make a desperate run at a playoff berth.Schultz snapped a tie game in the second period with his first goal of the season, ending a 125-game drought. The 13-year veteran has developed into perhaps the steadiest defenceman on the Flyers, and his 28th career goal in 948 games was a reward for his grit on the ice.He knew his scoreless skid was a long one — just not 125 games long.Is that how long its been? I knew it was a lot, he said, smiling. I knew it was over 100. Its nice to get one.Steve Mason made 36 saves for his second win in two games, though his first as a starter since Jan. 8. He had been sidelined with a knee injury and got the win against Arizona on Tuesday in relief of a shaky Ray Emery.Mathieu Perreault scored twice for the Jets. You cant wait until late March to get going. Weve got to get some wins, he said. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Schultz signed with Philadelphia in the off-season. He had 10 assists in 47 games this season and had not scored since he played for Edmonton on April 28, 2013. He had just five assists in 60 games last season. But Schultz was there to pounce on a loose puck and beat Michael Hutchinson, who had a shutout in his last start, for a 3-2 lead. Petra Straka got his first NHL point on thhe assist, and Ryan White also had his first assist of the season on the goal. Charles Harris Jersey. It just kind of popped out and I wanted to make sure I didnt miss that one, Schultz said. The Flyers held on — and held off Perreault — from there.Perreault scored a pair of tying goals in the first period. He pounded in a rebound and fired a slapper from the right circle on the power play about 8 1/2 minutes later for his 16th and 17th goals of the season. The Jets slumped the rest of the way and have lost two straight following a five-game winning streak. There are pieces of our game that arent really good right now, coach Paul Maurice said.VandeVeldes seventh goal of the season came when he knocked in a loose puck from a scrum in front of the net for a 1-0 lead. Simmonds scored his 18th on the power play for a 2-1 lead midway through the first.Schenn made it 4-2 on a one-timer early in the third for his 11th goal this season.Mason seemed fully recovered from a bout with the flu and the knee injury that sidelined him for six games. He settled down after a shaky first and stopped all 11 shots in the second and 13 more in the third. The injury hasnt been a problem, which is great, Mason said. I thought my game felt sharper than (against Arizona), which is obviously a positive sign as well.NOTES: There is still no decision if Flyers D Kimmo Timonen will return from blood clots that have sidelined him this season. General manager Ron Hextall said he hoped to know Timonens fate within days. Its certainly the most complex medical thing that Ive ever been through and its enough to make me dizzy, Hextall said. ... Jets D Dustin Byfuglien was booed when he touched the puck, a response to his on-ice shouting match with Flyers coach Craig Berube after last months game in Winnipeg. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

France defender Bacary Sagna thinks England are a team to be feared at Euro 2016. Oscar Robertson Jersey . The right-back, who made his debut for France in 2007 in a friendly match against Slovakia, rates Englands young side highly and believes they pose a real threat to France manager Didier Deschamps hopes of claiming a home victory. The host nation will open the tournament with a Group A game against Romania at the Stade de France on Friday. Didier Deschamps captained France to victories in the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 I think they [England] are a serious rival for us, Sagna told Sky Sports News HQ. Its an extremely young team, a bit like ours actually. The 33-year-old joined Manchester City from Arsenal in 2014 on a four-year contact and has plenty of experience playing with and against members of the England squad in the Premier League.Their team is very young, he said. They have a certain force on the offensive. I play with them. I watch them during the year and for me its the most serious English team in a long time. France players NGolo Kante and Bacary Sagna say the hosts cannot wait to get the European Championships started France remain the last host country to lift the trophy - in 1984 - and warmed up for the tournament by nicking a late victory against Cameroon before hammering Scotland 3-0.England take on Russia at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille on Saturday before facing Wales on June 16 in Lens and then Slovakia four days later in Saint-Etienne. LUCIE, Fla.DUNEDIN, Fla. -- J.A. Happ offered more questions than answers Wednesday in another rocky outing for the Toronto Blue Jays. The six-foot-five left-hander, pencilled in as one of Torontos starters, lasted just 2 2/3 innings in an 11-6 Grapefruit League win over the Philadelphia Phillies. Happ threw 71 pitches, including 34 strikes in an appearance short on control on a day when pitching coach Pete Walker said the goal was "to get him in the strike zone." "Its a big start for him," Walker added. It did not go according to plan, however, on a sunny 21-degree day before 5,255 at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. "Fortunately its not the end of the world here," Happ said. "But theyre going to count soon." On the plus side, Jays slugger Jose Bautista hit a pair of two-run homers -- his fourth and fifth home runs of the spring. And Melky Cabrera, who now has 19 hits in 45 spring at-bats, drove in two runs with two hits. And one day after being thumped 18-4 by the Detroit Tigers, the Jays (8-10) rallied from a 3-0 deficit for the win over the Phillies (5-13). With R.A. Dickey, Mark Buehrle and Brandon Morrow accounting for three-fifths of the starting rotation, the Jays have spent the spring looking for two more to join them. While Drew Hutchison has been by far the best of the rest, the Jays have so far resisted appointing him part of the rotation. Instead they have ostensibly given one of the remaining starting jobs to Happ, who has yet to provide much reason for earning it, and said the search continues to fill the final hole. Happ carried an ERA of 40.50 into Wednesdays game, having given up six runs on six hits with five walks in 1 1/3 innings over two previous spring appearances. A back problem has delayed his progress in spring training. He looked for positives in Wednesdays outing, saying the back felt fine and there were some possible minor technical fixes available. "I dont feel like Im far (from where I should be)," he told reporters. "You guys are going to take that outing for what it was and it doesnt look pretty. But pitch-wise, Im up to 70. Next time, it will be 85-90. If I still feel strong, that will be a good thing. So Im close." There seemed to be some mixed messages on Happs role before manager John Gibbons declared him part of the probable rotation. Happ dodged a question on whether he felt he had to prove something to make the rotation or whether his pedigree had already earned it. "Thats really not up for me to really answer that because that changes to whoever the bosses are," he said. "So it doesnt really matter what I think for that. "I expect to go out and be better, I know that. And hopefully thesee next two (outings) will be. Giannis Antetokounmpo Jersey. " The Jays starting pitching plans are certainly not set in stone. "We have an idea of what were going to do, but things could change," Walker said prior to Wednesdays game. Happ went 5-7 with a 4.56 ERA in 18 starts for Toronto last year in a season derailed by injury. He suffered a skull fracture and sprained right knee when he fell to the ground after getting hit with a liner by Desmond Jennings on May 7. He returned to action Aug. 7. Happ did not help his cause Wednesday when he gave up three runs on three hits, walking four and striking out two. He lived dangerously early, putting the leadoff batters on base the first two innings and often going behind in the count. He paid for it in the second, loading the bases on a single and two walks. With two outs, he was 0-2 on Ben Revere but the Phillies leadoff hitter worked the count to 3-2 and then emptied the bases with a double to the left-field fence. Happ got the first two outs in the third but then yielded a walk and a single before giving way to Sergio Santos. Toronto went ahead 4-3 in the third on an RBI double by Jose Reyes, sacrifice fly by Cabrera and two-run homer by Bautista. The Jays sent 10 men to the plate, leaving the bases loaded. The Phillies pulled even with two outs in the fourth when No. 9 hitter Cody Asche hit a solo shot to centre off Santos. Cabrera added an RBI single and Adam Lind a two-run double in the fourth for a 7-4 lead. Bautistas second homer made it 9-4 in the sixth. A Ryan Goins triple increased the lead to 10-4 in the seventh. Philadelphia pulled two back in the seventh against reliever Aaron Loup. The Jays added a run in the eighth on a Dan Johnson RBI single. Phillies starter Roberto Hernandez had his own troubles on the day, before exiting with one out in the fourth. He gave up seven earned runs on 11 hits with one walk and two strikeouts. The 33-year-old right-hander from the Dominican Republic, who was 6-13 with a 4.89 ERA last season for Tampa Bay, cruised through the first two innings and then crumbled in the third and fourth. Previously known as Fausto Carmona, Hernandez came to the Phillies in December on a US$4.5 million, one-year contract. He made headlines in January 2012 when he was arrested on charges of falsifying his identity that were later dropped. Major League Baseball suspended him for three weeks. NOTES -- Earlier Wednesday, the Jays assigned left-hander Ricky Romero and right-hander Marcus Stroman to their minor-league complex. Both were shelled in an 18-4 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday ... Toronto entered Wednesdays games with 74 walks in spring training, worst among American League teams. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

MONTREAL - Marco Schallibaums tumultuous first season with the Montreal Impact continues. Tom Johnson Jersey . After Schallibaum received an automatic one-game ban for being sent off in Montreals win over DC United last Saturday, Major League Soccer suspended the fiery Swiss manager for an additional game and fined him US$5,000 Friday "for his repeated misbehaviour." Schallibaum and United manager Ben Olsen engaged in their heated confrontation following a hard aerial challenge between DCs James Riley and Montreals Justin Mapp, which sent the Impact player clattering into the midfield camera. Olsen and Schallibaum were sent off while Riley was issued a yellow card. Olsen had his automatic one-game suspension and fine rescinded on Friday. "I spoke for my player, Justin Mapp, because he fell down into the camera. Because hes my player, I wanted to go see what happened because its a very dangerous situation," Schallibaum said at the time. "I was out a little bit from my zone." Irving triggered the spurt with a basket before Waiters, who was benched in the second half of a win over Brooklyn on Friday, fed James for an alley-oop dunk. Waiters then drained a 3-pointer to cap an 11-3 run, and the backup guard scored eight consecutive points to push Clevelands lead to 100-83.Waiters scored 11 points in a span of 2:10, assuming the closer role usually played by Jaames and Irving. Linval Joseph Jersey. Cleveland brought it, building a 20-6 lead in the first quarter, helped by Gasol going to the bench after picking up his second personal. The Grizzlies, though, battled back and were only down 11 at halftime.TIP-INSGrizzlies: An MRI taken Saturday on Randolph did not show any structural damage but the Grizzlies are going to be extra cautious with him as hes likely to sit out Monday against Utah. WASHINGTON -- The Colorado Rockies have acquired right-hander Jair Jurrjens from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for minor league first baseman Harold Riggins. Jim McMahon Jersey . Jurrjens signed a minor league contract with Cincinnati in May, and was 2-3 with a 4.46 ERA at Triple-A Louisville. He has a 53-37 record with a 3.63 ERA in seven major league seasons, including five with Atlanta. He last pitched in the majors in 2013, appearing in two games with Baltimore. Riggins was playing at Double-A Tulsa. The Rockies have used 12 starting pitchers this season, the most in the majors, and have the worst team ERA, 4.99. A team spokesman said Wednesday that Jurrjens will join the Rockies top farm club in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Tom Waddle Jersey . New York City FC introduced Frank Lampard in Brooklyn on Thursday after signing the 36-year-old former Chelsea midfielder to a two-year contract. Eddie Jackson Jersey .com) - In the absence of Dwight Howard, Donatas Motiejunas had a career night to keep the Houston Rockets winning streak alive.Colorado Avalanche and Swedish legend Peter Forsberg didnt mince words when it came to what he thought about Canadian referees working Sundays gold medal game between Sweden and Canada. "What a f___ing joke!" the seven-time All-Star said to Swedish reporters, calling the selection of officials Kelly Sutherland, Brad Meier, Greg Devorski and Derek Amell "comedy at its highest level." Referees Sutherland and linesmen Devorski and Amell are Canadian, while referee Meier is an American who makes his home in Calgary. Not all Swedes are seemingly as upset as Forsberg. Veteran Swedish defenceman Niklas Kronwall of the Detroit Red Wings believes that both teams can benefit from North American officials. "We are used to having referees from USA and Canada in the NHL," said Kronwall. "We know their standards so I think its easier for us too if the referees are from there." Former Norris Trophy winner and Ottawa Senators standout Erik Karlsson agreed with his fellow blueliner. "I think most referees over there [in the National Hockey League] are Canadian, too," said Karlsson. "They probably support Montreal or Toronto, but they dontt make any difference there. Chicago Bears Jerseys. I couldnt care less about what the referees do. As you saw yesterday, we had two power plays, Finland had a lot, and we still won the game. Its nothing we can control and neither can Canada." IIHF officiating manager Konstantin Komissarov later confirmed the evaluation process for tournament officials and why that quartet was selected to work the final. "The main factor of the selection of these officials has most of all to do with their experience officiating in high-level competitions," said Komissarov on Saturday. "These include Stanley Cup playoffs, World Championship competitions, and Olympic competitions." Komissarov stressed that an officials nationality doesnt play into the process. "Their nationalities arent considered as factors nor should they be, we want the best officials working the medal games," he said. "We are fully confident that with their experience and professionalism these officials will do their job well and preserve the integrity of the game." ASPEN, Colo. Julius Erving Jersey . -- Canadian Roz Groenewoud put her new knees to the test on Friday. Groenewoud earned a total score of 85.66 to win silver in womens ski superpipe at the Winter X Games, her first competition since she had surgery on both of her knees in December. "Im really happy with the progress Ive made," said Groenewoud. "This is I think my fifth day skiing pipe since double-knee surgery so Im super-happy with how its progressed." American Maddie Bowman was first with 88.66 points in the eight-woman event, while Frances Marie Martinod was third with 82.33. Groenewoud, from Squamish, B.C., will represent Canada in halfpipe skiing at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, and is getting her knees ready for the rigours of competition. "They definitely started to feel a little bit sore toward my last competition run," said Groenewoud. "Im glad that Im done for the day and I can go put them on ice. "Every day theyre feeling better. Theyre adapting to skiing halfpipe." The Winter X Games are Groenewouds last competition before the Olympics. The 24-year-old will briefly return home before heading to France for the Olympic freestyle ski teams pre-Olympics training camp. "Im looking forward to getting to work on some of my harder tricks in our upcoming pre-Olympic camp," said Groenewoud. "Hopefully Ill be doing some of those in Sochi." Rehabilitating her knees will be an ongoing concern for Groenewoud, as her legs have to recover while she gets herself into peak shape for the halfpipe competition. "I had this very naive notion that the rehab process was over as soon as I got back on the snow," she said. "I quickly learned that I will be taking care of my body intensely probably all the way through Sochi." Later in the day in mens competition, Mike Riddle of Sherwood Park, Alta. finished fourth in the ski superpipe with a best run of 84.33. American David Wise won gold with a score of 92.00, Kevin Rolland of France took silver at 88.66 and American Alex Ferreira rounded out the podium with a score of 85.33. Ben Simmons Jersey . If there is one club built to handle an off-field controversy, its the Bill Belichick era Patriots. Even if New Englands offence stumbles a bit out of the gate, their defence can help them stay in games, especially in the AFC East with the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets in the first two weeks. Philadelphia 76ers Jerseys . Brandon Morrow allowed five runs on six hits over three innings. He struck out two, walked one and hit a batter. Edwin Encarnacion had a two-out, bases loaded two-RBI double in the third inning.INDIANAPOLIS - Robert Mathis still remembers the first time he wandered into the Colts no-hit zone. As the fifth-round draft pick went through a routine practice in 2003, he wound up getting a little too close to Peyton Manning on a pass rush. No, he didnt hit the franchise quarterback, but Indy coaches immediately scolded the rookie and reminded him of the potentially dire consequences if he made the same mistake again. "If you come within two yards of him, you might get cut," Mathis said with a smile this week. "Thats just the truth." Mathis wised up fast, which is why he is still hanging around Indianapolis (4-2) and wreaking havoc in opposing backfields. Since making that blunder, Mathis has seen and done just about everything in 11 NFL seasons. Hes won a Super Bowl, two AFC titles, been to five consecutive Pro Bowls, topped 100 career sacks and is now chasing the Colts franchise record for sacks, held by his old pal Dwight Freeney. At age 32, he shares the NFL lead with 9 1/2 sacks, and he has proven to be every bit as effective as a standup linebacker as he was playing defensive end. This weekend, Mathis will finally get a chance to add one missing line to his resume — sacking Manning. Though 14 players on Indys roster remain from the Manning era, only five went up against him in practice — linebackers Pat Angerer and Kavell Conner, safety Antoine Bethea, defensive linemen Ricardo Matthews, Fili Moala and Mathis. But through the years, the protective blanket around Manning always existed. "If you did hit him, you might as well pack your bags and leave town," Angerer said. On Sunday night, when Manning returns to Indianapolis for the first time as the opponent, the Colts defence can finally line him up. Mathis and others have made it clear all week that they are not making this game personal. But when the Broncos (6-0) and Colts (4-2) meet in the NFLs most anticipated homecoming since Brett Favre showed up in Green Bay with the Vikings, Mathis plans to get down to the business of putting Manning on the ground. It wont be easy, and with Manning it never is. In 230 career games, Manning has been sacked just 257 times, an average of 17.9 per season. This year, Manning leads the league with 22 TD passes, a 128. Timothe Luwawu Jersey. passer rating, an offence that is on pace to shatter the NFLs single-season scoring record. Hes been sacked just five times despite playing behind an offensive line that includes a backup left tackle, a first-year centre and a right tackle who finished last weeks 35-19 victory at right guard. The biggest challenge this week might be avoiding Mathis. "If this was a scenario where all I had to do maybe was come back and wave and smile and kiss a few babies and sign a few autographs, itd be different," Manning said. "But somehow Ive got to figure out a way to stay away from Mathis and try to complete a few passes on (Vontae) Davis and Bethea and thats going to be tough because I think its a tough defence." Indys defence looks nothing like the one Manning left behind. The Colts have ditched their trademark 4-3 look for the trendy hybrid 3-4, cut ties with defensive captain Gary Brackett and let Freeney walk away in free agency. Over the past two seasons, Indy has added five new starters in the front seven, moved Mathis and replaced three of the four starters in the secondary. Manning has spent most of the week working overtime to get familiar with all the new faces and philosophies. But the ex-teammates know what to expect from their former quarterback. "Its going to be a chess match, of course. He looks for his mismatches just like any other quarterback does," Bethea said. "Its going to be tough. He might get us a few times, we might get him a few times, but for the most part, like I continue to say, we got to go out there and play ball. When we get chances to make plays, we got to make our plays." Especially Mathis, who has the ability to change games with big, turnover-causing sacks. Manning has seen it before, hes just never been the target since that practice in 2003. Until now. "Somebody asked me earlier, is it the same as playing against Eli, and I said I guarantee Robert Mathis hits a heck of a lot harder than Eli does," Manning said. "From that standpoint, its definitely different. All I know is kind of what I have to do right now is great ready for a good defence. Boy, theyre impressive to watch on film. Mathis, Robert is having a great year. Its really a factor." Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

ST. Teddy Bridgewater Jersey . PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Drew Hutchison made a successful return to the mound. Hutchison won his first start in almost two years, Adam Lind homered, and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays 4-2 on Tuesday night. Hutchison (1-0) allowed three hits, three walks and struck out four over 5 1/3 shutout innings in his first big league game since June 15, 2012. The right-hander had elbow ligament replacement surgery in August 2012. "I wasnt sharp early at all, kind of grinded through that one," Hutchison said. "I think coming out of spring training I was just ready to go, so it was a good start. Im glad we got the win and Im ready to get going." Lind put the Blue Jays up 3-0 on a three-run homer in the first off Alex Cobb (0-1). He sent a 3-1 pitch over the centre-field fence. Cobb gave up four runs, five hits and four walks and had three strikeouts in five innings. "Pretty much the whole game, fastball command was non-existent," Cobb said. "I was able to get by for a few innings, but its definitely going to make your pitch count go way through the roof, and knock you out of the game early." Toronto manager John Gibbons challenged a call by first base umpire Jim Wolf in the ninth when Blue Jays leadoff hitter Melky Cabrera was called out at first for the third out. Third baseman Evan Longoria dove to catch Cabreras grounder and then threw him out. After an 80-second delay, the call was confirmed. "It takes away the intensity of the game a little bit, but you know, take advantage of it," Gibbons said. "Hopefully, it works in our favour a few times." It was the first challenge involving the Blue Jays and Rays. "I thought the umpires, again, did a wonderful job," Tampa Bay manager Joe Maddon said. The umpires also used a video review to confirm that a ball with home-run distance down the right-field line in the seventh by Torontos Colby Rasmus was foul. The game was delayed 3:34 while the review took place. Jonathan Diaz, filling in for injured shortstop Jose Reyes, made it 4-0 on his first major league hit, an RBI single during the fourth. Diaz, who had his contract purchased from Triple-A Buffalo Monday, played in five games last season with Boston, going hitless in four at-bats. Aaron Loup replaced Hutchison with two on and one out in the sixth, and worked out of the jam by retiring Ben Zobrist and Longoria. Loup retired all five batters he faced. Wil Myers cut the Rays deficit to 4-1 with an RBI double off Steve Delabar in the eighth. Desmond Jennings hit a ninth-inning run-scoring double off Sergio Santos, who completed his first save of the season by striking out Yunel Escobar with runners on second and third with two outs. "It was one of those typical Tropicana (Field) games ... until you get that final out, you dont feel good," Gibbons said. Hutchison got out of trouble in the second after James Loney and Jennings drew one-out walks by getting a double-play grounder from Logan Forsythe. Reyes hopes to return in a couple weeks from a hamstring injury, which occurred while running the bases in his first at-bat of the season Monday. An MRI exam Tuesday showed Reyes, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list, has mild inflammation of the hamstring. Notes: Santos is filling in for closer Casey Janssen, whos on the 15-day disabled list due to a strain in his left abdominal area and lower back. ... Rays OF David DeJesus (bruised right foot) was out of the lineup and is day to day. He was hit by a pitch Monday. ... Rays LHP Matt Moore will go against Toronto LHP Mark Buehrle in third game of the four-game series Wednesday night. Linval Joseph Jersey . Venable and Jeremy Hermida drove in three runs apiece, and the Padres beat the Colorado Rockies 7-2 on Sunday to snap a nine-game losing streak. Brian Robison Jersey . "I had a pretty good year," the soft-spoken Granberg told TSN.ca with a grin from the teams annual rookie tournament in London. A fourth-round selection in 2010, Granberg is worth keeping an eye on with NHL training camps rolling around in less than a week. The six-foot-two, 200-pound defender may not possess the wow-inspiring theatrics of fellow prospect Morgan Rielly, but nonetheless has a chance to contribute with the Leafs when all is said and done this season.MONTREAL - Carey Price was rock solid in his first full game back since abruptly leaving last years Stanley Cup playoffs with a knee injury.Price stopped 29 of 30 shots he faced in Montreals 2-0 loss to the visiting Washington Capitals in NHL pre-season action on Sunday. Its nice to get a full workload, to see some shots, work on my timing a little bit, said Price, who conceded the game-winner to Washingtons Joel Ward with 89 seconds remaining in the third period. Its something that really leaves you during the summertime. Its probably the hardest thing to get back, that pace of the game.Price kept the Canadiens (3-1-0) in the scoreless contest with several key saves, including robbing Nathan Walker mid-way through the second period. Price added back-to-back stops in the third period on Washingtons Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom. It feels good to get back into it, said the native of Anahim Lake, B.C. Just getting some game action obviously helps. Its critical to get that timing back.Price played just over 30 minutes in Montreals 3-2 overtime victory against the Colorado Avalanche earlier this week, allowing two goals on 10 shots before being replaced by backup goaltender Peter Budaj. This was the first time Price played a game from start to finish since Montreals Game 7 victory over the rival Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference semifinal last May. The Canadiens goalie was injured in the first game of the following round when New York Rangers winger Chris Kreider slid into him skates-first. Montreal was eliminated from that series in six games.Price played unbelievable, said right-winger Dale Weise of Sundays 29-save performance. Its just a shame we couldnt bail him out. After a sloppy and penalty-filled affair a€” a total 12 minor penalties were dished out by the referees a€” Ward scored the winner, his first of the pre-season, at 18:31 of the third period when his backhanded saucer shot flew into the net just out of the reach of Price. We knew that the goal was going to be a bad bounce, or a greasy one like that, said P.K. Subban, who finished the game with a minus-2 rating. At the end of the day, for some of us, its only our second game. We have to slowly build. The Capitals (3-2-0) went 4-for-13 on the power play in their first four pre-season games coming into this one, but were kept off the score sheet with the man advantage on Sunday.Washington played a total 10:14 with an extra skater. Barry Trotzs men squandered five power-play opportunities in the first two periods, and another one in the third a€” a five-minute major to prospect Jarred Tinordi for elbowing.Tinordi, who played 22 games with the Habs last year, was shown the exit two minutes into the final period when he hit an unsuspecting Nate Schmidt in the face with his shoulder. Xavier Rhodes Jersey. . With Schmidt lying on the ice, Capitals forward Chris Brown dropped the gloves and fought Tinordi.New head coach Trotz, previously with the Nashville Predators, loved that Brown came to the defence of 23-year-old Schmidt. You have to pick up your teammates, and that was a big example, said Trotz, who was hired by the Capitals in May. We never want to leave a man behind, type of thing. Schmidt took a big hit, and the cavalry came out to help him. Thats the mentality you want.Tinordi was given five minutes for elbowing, five minutes for fighting, and a 10-minute game misconduct. The 22-year-old had already been penalized twice in the match a€” for tripping and for kneeing in the first period. He ended the game with a grand total 24 penalty minutes.Hes so big, and hes such a good skater for a big man, said Weise of Tinordi. Thats bound to happen. Thats the game he has to play, and thats the game we want him to play. If he starts throwing a couple more of those, guys are going to be more careful coming across the blue line.Added Subban of the hit: From what I saw, it looked pretty clean. I dont think he got his elbow up or anything like that. I like it when he plays like that. Its fun to watch. Hes a big guy, and he throws his weight around.Backup goaltender Justin Peters stopped all seven shots he faced for Washington before being replaced by Braden Holtby mid-way through the second period. Holtby made an additional 11 saves for the combined shutout. One minute after Ward broke the deadlock, Brooks Laich added a second goal for the Capitals in an empty net.Prior to the match, Montreal assigned 17 players to the AHLs Hamilton Bulldogs, including Tim Bozon, Patrick Holland, and Charles Hudon. Forward Nikita Scherbak was assigned to his junior team, the Western Hockey Leagues Everett Silvertips.Montreal opens its season on Oct. 8 against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre.Notes: Lars Eller played in his first pre-season game after missing the teams first three with a lower-body injury. a€| Ovechkin, who led the NHL in power-play goals last year, didnt register a point after scoring twice his last time out. a€| It took Montreal 11:17 to register its first shot of the game, a backhand shot by Alex Galchenyuk that Peters saved easily. a€| Four players still taking part in Montreals training camp have never played a regular season NHL game: Darren Dietz, Sven Andrighetto, Jacob de la Rose, and Jiri Sekac. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys AuthenticWholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Patrick Davison sat down with Jermain Defoe to chat about the pressure on his shoulders at Sunderland, how he learnt from Ian Wright, and his relationships with Dick Advocaat and Sam Allardyce. Jonathan Toews Jersey ... Theres always a food bus at Sky Live games. A double-decker where everyone can sit and eat a few hours before kick-off.It was on the bus ahead of Tuesday nights game between Newcastle and Manchester City that conversation, predictably, turned to who might stay up. There was a variety of opinions, but only one player from any of the three teams fighting for their lives got a mention - Jermain Defoe. When I met with the man himself at Sunderlands Academy of Light training ground a few days later, it was the first thing I put to him. I wanted to know what its like, having the pressure of everyone expecting you to score, knowing youre the one team-mates rely on, that the clubs future might very well rest in your hands. He didnt look worried. Defoe loves being the main man.The goals now are more important than ever, says the striker who already has 141 of them in the Premier League. But its good pressure. I want to be the one who makes the difference, who wins us games which are so big.I keep that in my mind when Im out there on the pitch and I wait for my chance. Defoe says he is not surprised by the rise of Harry Kane or Tottenham after their impressive season Hes been like this for as long as he can remember. As a kid, endlessly watching and re-watching video tapes, just to see goals. Never happy, even when playing in the playground, if he didnt score. The boys used to laugh about it. JDs not going to pass it round the edge of the box. But if I was a defender or midfielder, Id want a striker like that.Even now, in training, if I score, Younes Kaboul and Sheasy [John OShea] say to me: Brilliant, keep adding to the tally, keep doing it. They know what it means to me to score. Maybe I was born that way.Defoe has worked hard to become a finisher. During those younger days, he would travel from his home in east London to the north of the capital to watch Arsenal - Sunderlands opponents on this weekends Super Sunday. Sam Allardyce believes Sunderland need three wins from their last five games to avoid relegation He wasnt an Arsenal fan, he didnt even always follow the ball. He went to Highbury to watch Ian Wright.Back then people used to say Boring Arsenal, but they used to win 1-0 and Wrighty would score. To think now that Im the one the lads look to for the goal is a great feeling.A young Defoe didnt just watch football, he was, and is, a big boxing fan. Now, along with his team-mates, hes in a scrap of his own and drawing inspiration from those he watched in the ring.I remember being at my nans and watching the Benn v Eubank fights. There was such a buzz, not just the fights but the whole build-up. I was always fascinated by the pressure and how they would deal with it. Jermain Defoe celebrates scoring in the win over Norwich last weekend Im also a massive Floyd Mayweather fan. Watching him before some of the biggest fights ever and hes always composed and relaxed. Its knowing that, yes theres massive pressure, but if you have enough belief you will do well.At times, in print, Defoes quotes look a bit like some of Mayweathers - assured, maybe even to the point of cockiness. But see him speak, as anyone who watches his interview on Sunday will, and a warm, engaging team man comes across. An example of his willingness to sacrifice himself for his team came last season under Dick Advocaat. The two didnt always see eye to eye and the Dutchman didnt believe he was suited to the lone striker role.Defoe had to do a job for the team as a left-sided midfielder, at times playing more like an extra left-back as Sunderland escaped relegation.I told him Id scored a hat-trick playing for England against Bulgaria playing up front by myself, says the 33-year-old, who finished with 19 goals in 55 games for his country. Defoe discusses his younger days in football and how watching Ian Wright helped him to perfect the art of goalscoring. But for some reason he thought I couldnt do it. I never really said anything, I just let my football do the talking. This season, mainly under Sam Allardyce, faith in Defoe has been restored. The striker has managed 13 league goals in a struggling side, the last of them the vital second goal in a huge win at Norwich that kept Sunderland afloat. The new manager, he says, deserves credit. For his own turnaround and for the teams.Hes brilliant. A good guy and really funny. He knows how to do it. A manager can only do so much but he gives you the platform to go and win games. Hopefully we can stay up and then next season will be a good season. To escape, Sunderland will almost certainly need Defoes goals. And thats exactly the way he wants it.Watch Sunderland v Arsenal live on Sky Sports 1 HD from 1pm on Sunday. Also See: Big Sam: Defoe brainwashed Defoe: Fitness was big issue Sky Live: Sunderland v Arsenal Sunderland fixturesDuncan Keith Jersey . Jurrjens signed a minor league contract with Cincinnati in May, and was 2-3 with a 4.46 ERA at Triple-A Louisville. He has a 53-37 record with a 3.63 ERA in seven major league seasons, including five with Atlanta. Nick Schmaltz Jersey . The English Football Association had charged the German right back with violent conduct after retrospectively reviewing video evidence of an incident that was missed by match officials at Craven Cottage on Saturday. ORLANDO, Fla. -- As well as the Wizards have played at times in the past month, Washington coach Randy Wittman said he expected a team that had never been in a tight playoffs race to go through a few growing pains. After two tough losses to start the week, Washington showed the kind of bounce back ability it will take to survive if they do eventually make it there. John Wall survived a poor shooting night to score 12 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, Trevor Ariza added 21 points and 11 rebounds overall, and the Wizards hung on to beat the Orlando Magic 105-101 in overtime Friday night. "I wasnt making shots the whole game," Wall said. "The only shots it felt like I was making were 3s." The victory ends the Wizards two-game losing streak overall, and a seven-game road losing streak to the Magic. Bradley Beal added 20 points and a game-changing block before being helped off the court with sprained right ankle in overtime. Marcin Gortat finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds. "We realize that its about time for us to start winning," Gortat said. "Its about time to clinch that spot and get those wins, especially against teams like Orlando." Beals injury looked a lot more serious when it happened, with him having to be carried off the court by teammates. He is day-to-day. Orlando led by as many as nine in the second half before seeing that lead evaporate down the stretch. Tobias Harris had 21 points and Arron Afflalo finished with 18 to lead the Magic. Orlando has now lost five in a row and 11 of their last 14. "Its painful, it hurts, but you learn from it," Magic coach Jacque Vaughn said. Wall was fined $15,000 for inappropriate comments toward officials at the conclusion of the Wizards loss against Charlotte on Wednesday, and he had another run-in with the referees Friday. He was whistled for a technical foul in the third quarter for continuing to argue a non-foul call with referee Joey Crawford after Wall had walked back to the sideline huddle. It punctuated a mostly frustrating night for Wall, who finished just 7-of-18 shooting. But he picked it up when he had to. Jameer Nelson hit two free throws for the seventh lead-change of overtime to give the Magic a 97-96 lead. Corey Crawford Jersey. He got a steal on the Wizards next possession, but had his layup attempt blocked from behind by Beal. It was rebounded by Wall, who found Ariza in the corner for 3 to put Washington back up 99-97. "That was just hustle play, one that we definitely needed. John got a pass deflected, and my first instinct was to just go chase it down," Beal said. "He had a head start on me I guess I kind of baited him into it, and I was able to jump up and get it before it was (goaltending)." Soon after that play was when Beal went down with his ankle injury. It didnt stifle the Wizards momentum, though, with Wall sinking a jumper with less than 30 seconds to play. The Magic were forced to foul after a miss and the Wizards closed out the victory at the foul line. The Magic led 60-51 in the third quarter before the Wizards ended the period on a 16-6 spurt to take a 67-66 lead into the fourth. Orlando regained its footing, though, getting seven straight points from Victor Oladipo to start the quarter. After several lead changes Harris sank a pair of free throws to put the Magic in front at 85-79 with just 1:55 to play. Wall cut it to three with a 3-pointer, but Harris responded with tip-in on the other end. Wall was fouled on a 3-point attempt on the Wizards next trip down the floor, but got only two of his three free-throw attempts to fall. A missed jumper by Oladipo on the Magics ensuing touch gave it back to Washington and Wall then tied it at 87 with 10.6 remaining. Oladipo got up a 3-pointer from the top of the key as time expired in regulation, but it bounced off the side of the rim. But in the end, the Wizards felt as though Beals big block was the biggest reason they were able to walk out with their first victory in Orlando in over four years. "Hes making a name for himself," Gortat said. "Hes one of our rising stars." NOTES: Orlando dropped to 1-5 in overtime games this season. ... Orlando is 0-32 when being outrebounded this season. ... SAN ANTONIO -- The San Antonio Spurs are on an unprecedented post-season roll that not even a boatload of turnovers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals could stop. Anthony Davis Jersey . They probably ruined Tim Duncans hopes of a career change, though. Duncan wants to be a point guard, coach Gregg Popovich revealed Saturday, a wish that wont be granted. But Duncan would gladly settle for another championship, and the Spurs would be halfway there by beating Miami on Sunday night in Game 2. The Spurs have won eight straight post-season home games by 15 or more points, an NBA record, but know as well as anyone that a one-game lead means nothing against the Heat. "Thats why I think we cant be satisfied," said point guard Tony Parker, who isnt worried about losing his job to Duncan. "Because we was in the same situation and we know they can win here, and so we just have to go out there and play our game and try to win this one. I think its a big game for the series." LeBron James expects to be fully ready for the Heat, who also dropped the opener last year in the finals against the Spurs, and in 2012 to Oklahoma City. Miami is 5-0 in series with James when dropping the opener, rebounding to win Game 2 every time. A 2-0 deficit would surely bring loads of unwanted attention to whats already one of the most scrutinized players and teams in sports. "Im sure the series would be over from the outside," Heat guard Dwyane Wade said, laughing. "Our focus is on how we can win ballgames and understand in the series its the first one to four; not the first one to one, not the first one to two, not the first one to three. You win a series by being the first one to four. We understand the journey, we understand the path and what it takes to get there." The Heat were in position to win Game 1 before James departed with cramps. The Spurs committed 23 turnovers that not only led to 28 Miami points but also prevented them from getting the ball more often to Duncan, who shot 9 of 10 from the field. Popovich said Duncan never demands more shots, even when he is in a good rhythm like he was Thursday. "No, the only thing Timmy has ever demanded is he wants to play the point and he thinks Ive held him back," Popovich said. "True story. He thinks hes a point guard." Duncan is one of the best power forwards in NBA history but likes to think like a little guy, though he realizes he hurt his chances of getting to actually play the part of one. "After my five turnovers the other night, I think I took a step back from that," he said. "I dont think that Im going to be able to step up and fill that role for a little while. But, no, I enjoy getting in the middle of the floor and making decisions and getting the ball to the right place, and thats what a point guards got to do." The Spurs dont need one, not after Parker looked healthy while posting 19 points and eight assists in the opener after missing the second half of the Western Conference finals clincher because of a sore left ankle. He laughed when told that Popovich and Duncan had brought up his teammates aspirations. "Are we still talking about that? I cant believe they brought it up in the NBA Finals," Parker said. "Its been a joke that Timmy thinks hes a great quarterback, that he can be a good passer. I disagree with that. I want to keep my spot." With Parker seemingly fine, James health remained the focus. He practiced Saturday and was still receiving treatments in hopes of preventing more cramping. It also should help that the air conditioning inside the AT&T Center has been repaired, but he wont be worrying about that, anyway. "You cant think about what may happen in the third or fourth quarter. Live in the moment," James said. "And for me, whatever I can give my teammates if it happens again, hopefully I can make an impact while Im on the floor and thats all that matters to me." The Spurs knocked James into a 2-0 hole in the 2007 finals, but that was when he was still in Cleveland. The team James is on now gets out of trouble just as quickly as it gets into it. "Thats why they are two-time champs," Parker said. "To win championships, you have to face adversity and come back from any situation, and theyve proved that over the years. Thats why its our job to stay focused and we know its just one game, and we know theyre capable to come back and win at our place." Solomon Hill Jersey . But history aside, theyre still happy to participate in the Par 3 contest, traditionally held on the day prior to the first round of the Masters. Jrue Holiday Jersey . The Toronto Argonauts running back hurt his left ankle during the teams practice Friday afternoon at Rogers Centre. ATLANTA -- Fourth-seeded Vasek Pospisil of Vancouver advanced to the Atlanta Open quarter-finals, beating Ukrainian qualifier Illya Marchenko 7-5, 6-3 on Wednesday. "Im fairly relaxed, and I was feeling the ball well this morning," Pospisil said. "When Im feeling the ball well, I dont panic." In other second-round matches, Slovakias Lukas Lacko beat sixth-seeded Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan 5-7, 6-1, 6-4; Israels Dudi Sela topped ninth-seeded Sam Querrey of the United States 6-2, 6-4; and American Jack Sock beat New Zealands Michael Venus 6-4, 6-2. Seventh-seeded Yen-hsun LLu of Taiwan beat American Alex Kuznetsov 6-4, 6-4 in a first-round match. ETwaun Moore Jersey. "Sam didnt serve his best that game, and I took that to my advantage," Sela said. "I think Im moving fairly good, better than before." Defending champion John Isner, the No. 1 seed, will open play Thursday against wild-card entry Robby Ginepri of Atlanta. Ginepri beat Ukraines Sergiy Stakhovsky on Tuesday. South Africas Kevin Anderson, the No. 2 seed who lost to Isner in the final last year, will start play Thursday against qualifier Thiemo de Bakker of the Netherlands. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Drift, Volume 6: Mexico City

This issue contains stories about Mexico City, its coffee, and the people who drink it. For our sixth issue, we hear from dozens of locals, shop owners, roasters, patrons, entrepreneurs, writers, and photographers about what it's like to drink coffee in Mexico City. One of the largest and most populous cities in the world, Mexico City is one of the most compelling places to drink coffee right now. This sprawling, frenetic city has easy access to Mexico's coffee plantations. But only recently has that coffee made it into the capital's cafes. While specialty cafe owners are embracing this resource, a new generation of coffee-drinkers are reshaping the city's neighborhoods at a rapid clip. And both are finding a new coffee-drinking identity that continues Mexico s long history of coffee-growing and drinking traditions. Drift, Mexico City guides us from China to New York, from the Aztecs to the future, as we take a magnifying glass to what makes Mexico City's coffee scene tick.
